What are everyone's predictions for question 16 this year? I don't think it'll be perms and combs (thank god) because they did it last year. Do you reckon the exam will be easy like last year or will they mess us over since its the last year with this syllabus XD

Maybe Circle Geometry (PLEASE!) or Conics? As I have heard those two topics are being taken out of the new syllabus? Not too sure on this one...

Yeah hopefully won't be perms and combs, though last two years were fine. Reckon conics, or maybe really hard complex numbers...? Doubt it'll be mechanics, but possibly a good 4 mark volumes. Who knows ahaha

Ruled out complex numbers, combinatorics and induction, they did that two years in a row, 2016 and 2017.

Circle geo and conics are highly unlikely, they've only done that like once or twice only, UNLESS they examine something like reflection property of the ellipse.

I'm predicting some harder 3u inequalities, mixed with polynomials perhaps?

yea i think it will be a nice sequence and series question, with the limiting sum and all that shit. Actually happy if it is, anything besides probability tbh

Honestly you can't tell. They could do probability again just a different style of question, seeing as 2016 and 2017 last question were from vastly different areas of probability. They literally could ask a hard question on halving the interval (was in my trial once), Pascal's triangle or even fkin Simpson's rule or something.

Yeah I'm gonna doubt probability and complex for the last q and thank fuck because I'm shit at those lmaaoo

Honestly Conics would be cool, or mechanics ~ If I just get like 65+/70 for Q1-14, then I can scrape marks in Q15 and Q16 (I normally do well in Q15, like 10+, kinda weird) and get my scaled E4 xP

Honestly I'm fine with anything as long as it's not a tough combinatorics/circle geometry question.

I feel like it might be integration.

The current calculus based Maths courses will run for one more year - so 2019 will be the last year.

Don't worry that's not going to happen... plenty of harder topics for them to choose from.
