I know that guys have to wear suits but how about hats. Now I don't mean normal hats, just a stylish hat. Is this alright to wear to a formal or does it have to only be a suit.

It's your formal,you can choose what to wear(although it's good to stick to the recommended attire), a hat is always a nice addition as long as it doesn't look too outlandish with your suit,you can always get a laugh of it if people think it looks bad and just put it away during the formal.I've seen a one or two from my year 11 formal. Just think of it as a rarity though if you do wear it, most guys tend to do something with their hair and any hat would usually ruin it.(which is why its not very common)

I think a fedora would be fantastic. You should definitely wear one, everyone will look at you and be jealous because they can't pull a fedora as fabulous as you can.
