Ok this is totally not hypothetical and real asf.
So in physics I'm ranked third, tied with another dude rank third. This dude is first in every other subject so physics most likely wont count for him (13 units), so he was planning to drop it.
But he waited too long and apparently its too late now and he will have to sit the exam, considering he wont study because it won't affect him and he does poorly, how bad will it affect the rest of the cohort. Also if he does a non-attempt will he just not be counted due to the massive outlier?
pls help, mah atar

How is it too late to drop? Just don't appear to the exam.

He can still drop it.

I had a student drop the subject on the Monday when the exam was on Thursday.

If he keeps it and doesn't do the exam he will be removed from the cohort and record a zero mark for that exam on his transcript. Don't worry about him.
