I'm ranked 52/75 in a rank 40ish school and our schools maths rank is in the top 10. Is it possible to still get a low band 6

I got 72 in my trials

And another question

For bio, is it possible to get a really high external so like 95 but a low internal like 75. Would they sort of push up the 75 to like a 80

yea, high 70s is usually the raw mark required for a band 6. But aim higher than that for HSC, get at least 85+

95 is pretty good, generally it will help drag the cohort up when everyone does well.

yeah but would they moderate the internal to be higher because if I do really well in externals shouldn't my internal sort of match up. Like a 95 external and 75 internal is pretty shit aha

how do you know your internal is going to be "75", no they wont moderate your internal up to 80 because you did better in the HSC. You get moderated based on your rank, on how well you went internally.
