yeh legal doesnt scale well because its an easy subject, but i think people are referring to UAC scaling rather than HSC scaling.

Geeeez~~~I dont think anyone in my class is going to get over 90 lol~~~my teacher is shxt~~he doesnt giv a damn to the entire class~~~

9.34% of Legal Studies students attained a band six in 2007.
31.42% - band five.
24.75% - band four.
20.71% - band three.


It's scaling isn't too bad. Kinda average.

Do you do legal? If not, don't make sweeping generalisations about things you are clearly ignorant of. Legal studies has an enormous amount of content to learn, and to achieve the best marks you need to combine this content with knowledge of current affairs, recent common and parliamentary reform, statistics and jusprudential philosophy.

I agree with you, if someone says that it's an 'easy subject'- it's so NOT because of the content.
Anyway I think it scales fine

I do acknowledge that legal studies requires a bit more than just learning a textbook, like most subjects, but I don't find it mind boggling or anything.

When I made that "generalised" statement, I was referring to the scaling of Legal Studies RELATIVE to many other subjects out there, eg Chemistry and Physics. I say that it is easier than most subjects because the concepts are straightforward. Compare that with some Physics and you'll see what I mean.

So yeh I thats why I said what I said. Don't get all worked up about it. Its BoS. We're a bunch of students voicing opinions.

Yes but labelling legal easy implies there is little effort involved, not that the concepts are straightforward. Straightforward concepts and minimal effort are not one and the same. Also, while I would agree that the concepts are not, to use your phrase "mind boggling", the nuances of the law and the complexity of the legal system makes the conceptual framework of legal studies, unless studied superficially, more than merely "straightforward".

But yes. Irrespective, I see your point. In terms of scaling though, past trends would indicate that legal is generally neutral.
