In In Australia with whom does legislative power lie?
a) the commonwealth parliament and the High Court
b) the governor general and the state governors
c) the commonwealth and state parliaments
d) the cabinet and the prime minister

Im thinking its not a due to high court being judiciary, not d because they are part of the executive. Either B or C? leaning towards C. Explain your reasoning please

i'm saying c but i just finished my hsc, and been playing games since, so i may have lost some of my knowledge.

reason:the governor general has no law making power, he just approves laws.
