Two compounds X and Y have the molecular formula C4H8. On reaction with HBr, compund X gives a single product, while compound Y gives two products.

( a ) Give a structural formula for compound Y
( b ) Give the systematic name of compound X
( c ) Give the structural formula of the product formed by the reaction of X with HBr.

Ur help would be greatly apprecaited... My half yearly is tmrw... so if u could help out with this question i would really apprecaite it...

I thort tht the cyclo - group were juz distinguished by their structural formula- in a ring- n re: the prac testing reactivities of alkanes and alkenes, cyclohexene n cyclohexane were opted since they were liquid at room temp
...
dunno tht q seems reli obscure .. does it actually relate to da syllabus?
