question from test:

In a 5cm by 5cm square how many points are required to be drawn inside the square to guarantee there are 2 points less than √2cm apart? Justify your answer with appropriate calculations or reasoning.

I think it's supposed to be a pigeonhole principle question where you can't have >1 point(pigeon) per 1x1 square (pigeonholes)
but idk how to prove that you can have 1 point per square and still have them all be sqrt2 cm apart
