They always ask you to prove stuff like e is an infinite series, pi^2/6, ln2, etc etc

I went through whole 4u books and still havent seen any explicit mention of such things... so if one can "learn" how to do such problems, where would one get the means to do so?

hurm, your sitting in front of one. ^__^

Go to the mathematics extension 2 section of boredofstudies (not the forums, the resources section). Go down to harder 3u SGS, download the PDF file, and it has some of the stuff you mentioned. :)

you reckon you'll reach question 8? isn't it meant to be ultra hard and only the top guy manages to do the last question or something?

Apart from that, i don't know of anything else.

Anyone can get to question 8, assuming you've put alot of effort in. The real trick is knowing which stuff to skip over and come back to, and then making sure you come back to it (Shudders, remembers forgetting to go back and do the F = mv^2/r proof.)

oh k. Hmm, just in case you don't know, that thing i told you to go and see is actually a document, not a past test paper.

On a side note, I wish i went to a private school. My maths teacher doesnt give me ANY resources. Comes in, does 2 of the examples found in the book, then tells us to do everything else in the textbook. While we are trying to figure out what to do, he does crosswords. :|
