ok thats confusing.
Don't listen to gay. He is gay.

You can still get your HSC and go to uni if you've never paid school fees. The most they can do to you is not let you take home the stuff you make in class.

Re: Question?

You go to a public school? They definitely can't at a public school.

Even if you don't, I've never heard of HSC's being withheld because of overdue school fees.

It's crap. They're idiots.

Re: Question?

At my old highschool if you didn't pay your school fees you weren't allowed to sign out and get a reference. As for the HSC unlike the School Certificate which gets delivered to schools the HSC goes straight to your house, so I don't see how they can withhold that.

Re: Question?

never heard of hsc's being withheld but i know at my old school that if we hadnt paid school fee's for both yr 11 and 12 (was a senior school) then we couldnt go to the formal.

it was the same at the junior campus. if we hadnt paid school fees couldnt go to the yr 10 formal. oh and yeah individual subjects wouldnt let u take home what u had made if u hadnt paid for their subject.

Edit: Same school as pritnep.

Re: Question?

You don't have to pay school fees for public schools. As fas as I know, I never have.
The only things compulsory are subject fees for art, hospitality, etc. So long as you pay those, you're fine.

Re: Question?

If you go to a public school you don't have to pay any fees. Even though they can ask for them. See the Education Act 1990 if you don't believe me.

Although if you really can't afford it i think you should talk to your principal about the matter rather than just leave them unpaid. That said, there were tones of people at my public school that didn't pay.

Re: Question?

that also raises another point.
I go to a public school, and they are enforcing this new uniform.

And apparently we can not be forced to abide by it.
Black shoes and green hats is the proposal.

Even if they wouldn't let you graduate without paying school fees, don't you think they'd at least warn you beforehand? lol

Lol. I hate you. But that was funny :p

Uniform sounds interesting... I know at Belmore Boys they don't inforce it - you just pay $2 at the front office when you're out of uniform. So you could basically do that everyday and wear whatever you please.
Personally, I think Pjs are much more comfortable :)

Department of Ed cannot enforce it. They tried the same shit with us and told us it was a P&C regulation.

They can get fucked though, there is jackshit they can do about it.
