Are there restrictions to this course?ANU said:Economics 1 (H) includes the same syllabus as Macroeconomics 1, with two additional hours per week in which the theoretical treatment of microeconomic behaviour presented in Microeconomics 1 is supplemented and applied to a range of topics (for example, the application of economics to the understanding of political, legal and social institutions and decision making). The course is designed for better performing students who want to extend their exposure to economics beyond that offered in the standard first year courses in microeconomics and macroeconomics.
"The course is designed for better performing students" it's for smart cookies/people who REALLY like economics. Also chopping and changing from a duel degree isn't much of an issue as long as you do it early in the degree. If it panned out like you stated, I don't think it'd matter that much and you could probably graduate in the 3 years with straight economics as you would have if you did it in the first place (I'm guessing here, just going by what the course descriptions tell me). Also, arts sucks do econ/finm. Can't help you with honours, just e-mail ANU directly. /poor structured reply.BackCountrySnow said:Another question: I found this link on the anu site

Because it's offered in the first year, what do they base their selection on?
Also, can someone give me more info on the honours stream..
EDIT: some courses have (P) and (H) after the course name.
http://www.ecocomm.anu.edu.au/courses/courselist.asp?school=ECO
can someone tell me what it means?
edit2: ok I think P means Pass and H means honours. So the (H) course is for students thinking of going through with hons in that course?
but since it's a sem 1 subject, how do they know who the better performing students are? Do they base it on our UAI?Sammy-Blue said:"The course is designed for better performing students" it's for smart cookies/people who REALLY like economics.
Second semester dude.BackCountrySnow said:but since it's a sem 1 subject, how do they know who the better performing students are? Do they base it on our UAI?
