besides from what i said above, ~you ni is also used to describe how things seem, but youni is only used when there is a verb after it... younais used if a noun follows

- whats the difference between hare desu, haremasu and hare te imasu? so if hare desu means it will be fine and haremasu means that too and hare te imasu means it is fine...why do they need so many forms?
- itsu goro means about when rite?

nai past tense is nakatta
imasu past tense is imashita

Yes, yume ga mireru means "can dream" the potential version

hare desu means "fine" as in weather fine, hare masu and hareteimasu means "to clear up"or "become clear"

The verb is mireru, which is the potential form of miru. Mirimasu has no connection with this word.

ummmm lotto stop misleading people.... miru (to see) 's potential form is mieru or mirareru not mireru. mieru would be used for dreams since mirareru would be used more for physical things u see with ur eyes.

i thought mieru is soemthing that u see without intentially seeing it but mirareru was soemthign u see that....i dunno

umm this isnt really a language language question but i just wanted to ask what courses are there if you do a language for y12 and then u keep doing it in uni? like i know theres interpreting and translating but is there like a bachelor of interpreting or seomthing and what courses can u use the language in?
also to LottoX, umm i notice ur little banner abt the units u did for y12 (i think...) and its basically what im gonna do too except 3 unit english, but i was just wondering what you are doing for ur uni course and also is 4 unit eng hard?

If you want to do 4u english you have to do 3u english regardless if you want to or not.
For uni courses, there are bachelor of arts courses where you can major in a language (japanese) and there is a specialist degree in USYD called Bachelor of Arts (Languages) which focuses mainly on your desired language and you get to go overseas to Japan to learn. When you finish your degree you have many paths to choose from if you want to be an interpreter then go for that job etc

I think at most uni you can choose Japanese as an elective regardless of what degree you're doing (my brother did computer science and had Japanese elective). So if you want to keep studying Japanese, you don't have to specifically select courses that specialise in languages.

But if you want the experience of going to study in Japan etc, I think International Studies sounds like the best course for that. You get one year of the course to study in the country of your choice, I think.

ummm but if u do a lang as an elective, dun u have to do it during the holidays and pay for the lessons? does international studies involve studying the politics of that country and do u pay to study for 1 yr in that country?

If you choose japanese as your major then you learn japanese in university and where ever else you choose

by lessons in the holz i was looking at the unsw institute of lang and they had summer programs and i just assumed that it was lessons in holz and u have to pay and stuff? or is that what lottox was talking abt extra curricular programs?
