Hey everyone just got a quick math question

Let phi is a function from V -> V (V being a vector space over a field K). Now lets say i have a matrix M(with elements v from V, so its a matrix of vectors), and a vector u

What would phi do to M.u (matrix multiplication)?

would it be M' (each element of M has phi applied to it) multiplied with phi(u)?
