dont your italian/greeks/lebs get along?
when i was at kingsgrove for a small while, I heard stories of greeks having lots of fights with the lebs, even though there isnt near as many greeks as lebs, the still hit shit the fan

the ones at our school all live in harmony though ... (so far)

We used to have heaps of little groups that changed all the time but after Year 11 camp (which was meant to bring us closer together! lol) we split into two mega- groups and we have stayed that way ever since! One group is pretty much all the old 'popular' groups and another is the 'other' groups. Then there's the other groups that don't really fit in anywhere.

The groups at my school:

- Smart asians that speak in their language to each other
-Also smart asians that speak english to each other
-The dumb wog group (the smart ones sit with my group)
- the Fobs/Islanders
- The i'm so indie/retro/whatever group
-the totally aussie group that everyone hates
-the weirdos/ tryhards that everyone hates
- the 'popular'group that most people say they hate but secretly want to be them.
- And my group... I don't know how you would describe us...

I dunno! Not really but there ARE SOME people who still look at people in my school as in different classes (rich, hobos, middle class) kinda thing!

I think it's dumb, but anyway!

> People who think they are awesome --> I would say these people THINK they are groups such as cool, nerd, alternate etc but that's in their head.

our years too small for it to be too obvious. with 74 kids, the emo and the wank sticks out, but no one else. we're all in our little friend groups, but theyre not specific to ethnicity/interests/whatev

but we're not a 'group' as in, we have our own secluded area and we dont mesh or intermingle. its doubtful any highschool group will go through with attaching some form of label to one another, or themselves. but with 74 kids, like i said, its not something that sticks out or results in some form of individual, unique, and overly recognisable identity beyond, yeah, we're cool shit, wanna swap cds? we dont have a scene and we dont flock.

My year is divided into different groups as well. OP seemed to have mentioned all the groups that exist in my year and the basis in which the groups are split. I can say that I belong to the "nerd group" that consists of 5-10 people but we have few people who are not. So... it's a "semi-nerd group".

We also have other groups such as "gang group", "emo group", "playboy group" and all sorts of groups. But in general, they are all nice people.

Doesn't anyone mind their own business anymore?
Who cares! We go there to learn.
Enough with the stereotypes. It is not America.

I guess we have groups, but I don't really know what they are, because I don't socialise enough :)

Yes we definately have groups in our school - especially when there are like 190 yr 11'ers

groups in our school actually have like group names - like the popular groups - make up their own group name !
but yes we have groups such as the asians, the wogs, the aussies, the nerds, the barbie dolls, the emo's, u get my point lol
but ehh overall i think its fine - i belive that mostly all schools have this and i guess its part of highschool and growing up as a teen !
