R4 for DS, anyone? (1 Viewer)

So a few of my friends have the R4 for DS and from what they've told me, it sounds AWESOME.
But I was just wondering what everyone else thought about it.


For those who don't know what an R4 is (I'm assuming you would if you entered this thread) but it's basically a game card that you can download games on to and then play them on your ds.

So, to anyone who has it or knows a lot about it I'd realllyyy like to know if it's worth me buying.

You'll have to order it online. Try www.ozmodchips.com.au. Otherwise, you could get it from some shops at Cabramatta but they jack the prices up like hell.

I got mine from dealextreme: http://www.dealextreme.com/ . It was the cheapest site on the internet at the time, and probably still are because of the strength of the aussie dollar. In fact, it was so cheap they had most of the business and were pissing off other retailers.

Last time I checked, they had changed their site name and were out of stock on R4's. I would recommend going through them simply because it's so cheap. Delivery time is 2-3 weeks which is a long time, but it's really not that bad. You've gone this long without an R4, I'm sure you can survive another week.

http://www.bamboogaming.com was cheapest last time I heard. I got my M3 for $39 when it was on special. You can get micro SD cards real cheap off ebay, I think I got it a 2GB one for $30 but it may have gotten cheaper since.

R4's been around for ages.
I bought a few overseas, last year, for my friends that needed them.

I pretty much bought the DS because of the R4.
Never had a problem with it.
Can play whatever I want.
