Rabbit Proof Fence as a related text? (1 Viewer)

I was talking to my english teacher and she said that it was alright for me to use rabbit proof fence as a related text for belonging however i have been doing a bit of research online and apparently it is on the prescribed text list for the belonging section. Did anyone know if this is true? My english teacher does hsc marking and she said that its alright but im a bit unsure.. I'm a bit worried now since exams are on monday and i have done heaps of research on that text and it's pretty decent too! and i don't wanna have to find another, thanks in advance.

it's definitely not in the list of prescribed texts for belonging!
i'm doing it and it's a great text - covers a lot of the rubric terms etc!
