Hi everyone,

My school is currently ranked 4th, and I'm aiming for a 99.5+ atar. What ranks will I need?

My subjects are:

English adv: /170
English ext 1: /110
Maths adv: /108
Maths ext 1: /137
Chemistry: /91
Physics: /32
Economics: /50

Hmmm.. This is a rough guess because you're after such a precise ATAR:
English adv: 20/170
English ext 1: 15/110
Maths adv: 20/108
Maths ext 1: 25/137
Chemistry: 10/91
Physics: 5/32
Economics: 7/50

Okay cool, thank you so much! Well I'm not looking for 99.5 specifically, but ill be happy with anything within the high 99 range. Fingers crossed that I'll make it!

My guess would be the top 10-15% of your subjects probably.

Protip: concentrate on subjects which you are weak in - this will be better than doing more work in subjects you are already topping/excelling at.

Wow as great as that sounds, I think I'm still going to set my goals a bit higher though, just incase things don't work out for me as nicely as they did for you. So how many people got over 99 in your year? Thanks for sharing your results, and thank you isplicer for your input as well

Im new to this course is for example the 50 in economics the number of people in the course and the 7 the lowest place you would need to place?
