Hey everyone, I want to get into combined law @ usyd next year (but I might end up going to unsw...? not sure) ~ Since the standard gets higher every year, it'd probably be safer to get like 99.8, but I don't know if I can :/ I haven't been doing that great this year in some subjects...
Advice on ranks needed for 99.7-99.8, and the ATAR you'd estimate currently, please?
tl;dr? just look at the overall estimated ranks
Top mark included where it isn't full marks.
School rank: consistently 18-20
1st assessments (mark, rank, % worth)
English Adv: mark 24/25, rank 5/~200, 20%
English Ext: mark 23/25, rank 23/73, 20% (wtf at rank... but it was a partner oral, so easily improvable
)
English Ext 2: mark 18/25, rank 20/25 (*), 10%
Maths 2u: mark 34/36, rank 10/~110, 20%
Maths 3u: mark 29/30, rank 8/72, 20%
Economics: mark 42.5/50, rank 8/25, 20% (top mark = 48.5/50)
Geography: mark 20/20, rank 1/~40, 20% (8 other people got full marks)
Latin 2u: mark 38/45, rank 6/7, 15% (lol)
Latin 3u: mark 37.75/40, rank 6/7, 20% (everyone ranged from 37-39, so easily improvable)
* didn't give us ranks but probably something like 20/25. It was only worth 10 out of 50 so I figured I'd do my next assessment anyway and hope for the best... getting back marks this or next week

I can't say anything about EE1/EE2 but I hope to rank similarly as advanced in ext, and I might drop EE2 depending on how my marks are on the most recent assessment... And I know I've been doing crap in Latin but I'm too scared to drop 3 units as well as EE2 maybe (down to 10), plus I'm doing alright in ext. since I enjoy it more And seriously I'm scared about screwing Eco even more in the future, I get A+ for an essay one week then B the next, it's really temperamental :S ugh. And our Latin class is really strong (all 7 top 10% of cohort) so I'm not worried about getting a crap final internal mark as long as I'm not last lol. I can probably improve 1-2 ranks there.
Also, school stat if it helps?: 2010, Top 10% (cohort ~230) got 99+
