Is the content of what is taught similar between unis in Australia?

First and second year is the same. You will learn from the same textbook.

Third year and electives might be slightly diferent. Mac uni has a particular policy focus in third year, and also a focus on international economics for its electives.

Oh and it should be said that finance and economics at macquarie are probably more closely interwined at mac than in other uni's. So you can do a lot of finance subjects as econ units for your degree.
