90% in General would be easy for an MX1 student. But MX1 students are MX1 students. The General student - on average - would struggle to get perhaps... 40. That's just a guess, by the way.

I just went really slow in the paper, that's all. If I hadn't given up in Maths throughout the year I think I could have quite easily achieved a decent E4 but it's over now so I could not care less.

Well like you said you got into the course you wanted to, sounds like there was no need to stress yourself out for something you wouldn't use.

You know how if you do 4 unit maths, 2 unit becomes 100% for you. Are you 4unit guys still included in ranking of 2 unit course?

No, it is an Assumed Band 6. 4u people are not included in the ranking of the 2 unit course. Why? We don't do the exam.

If you do MX2, you don't get a mark for 2U - it's like not doing the 2U course altogether. How the hell can you get like...low-mid 80s in Physics and Chemistry and still be in the top 100? That amazes me...

so exam marks are what you got for the actual hsc exam you sat and hsc mark is for your overall mark for that subject? Whar about the assessment marks? Arent they considered?
