I got, for exam marks:

1. Adv Eng = 84.
2. Eco = 72.
3. Business = 81.
4. Maths = 36.
5. SOR = 43.
6. Ancient = 86.
7. Food Tech = 84.

What would the real marks have been for each?

Usually the harder the exam is, the higher your aligned exam marks is from your raw marks.

Over the years a few people have managed to get hold of their raw marks through FOI requests. However the difficulty of exams differ from subject to subject and from year to year, so they are NOT comparable between courses or years.

Nope. It depends on the general performance of the cohort.

The cohort has no effect on the aligning. It is the difficulty and and marking structure of the exam that determines the aligning.

dont they (BOS) tell our raw mark to teachers? cuz it seems like my teacher knows my raw english mark~~~??

No the school gets the same marks that you do.

I would love to know my students raw marks. Actually what I would really like is some breakdown of how my kids went on each question e.g. at, above or below state average - they would tell me where I am strong as a teacher and where I am weak for instance but we only get the same marks you do and a reminder of what the internal mark was that we sent into the BOS.

Up to 10 marks lower than their aligned. SO maybe 60 eco, 75 ancient? I can't really tell with humanities but.

That's funny, I felt like I got about 10 marks lower after stepping out of each exam, except Adv English and SOR. I felt like I got about the aligned mark, so is that not right? I'm really confused.

well for ext1 maths i know for sure i got at least 30 marks higher aligned...
