Screamo? Maybe you could give us an example of bands that appeal to you. That'd make it easier to recommend you some. :)

Here's some that I listen to sometimes:
- Lamb of God
- Parkway Drive
- Killswitch Engage
- As I Lay Dying
- All That Remains
- Slipknot
- Between the Buried and Me
- Machine Head

These are not really Screamo:
- Slayer
- Metallica
- Megadeth
- System of a Down
- Avenged Sevenfold

I listen to twee, indie pop, indie rock now, and only ever glanced upon 'faux screamo/emo' and hardcore punk (questionably hardcore, by the way). :uhoh:

My bad.

Of course they're fucking not. Most of them, if not all, are goddamned metal.

I really like metal/thrash metal. So I guess I can't help you out there.

UnderOATH. They are unsurpassable :)

If you want any more, then maybe:
All that Remains;
August Burns Red;
Haste the Day (although I'm not a massive fan of his scream);
Oh, Sleeper (<3)

That's just a few...

Meh, im not into the whole 'screamo' thing. It's kind of girly in my opinion. The first list had bands that 'scream'/growl in them so I thought it might help.

Nor am I, as I've said.

The only stuff that's remotely screamo in my library are bands that are considered (I consider) hardcore punk, emo, and UH, From First to Last, lololol (such usage is perhaps too liberal)?

yeah all that remains are pretty good.

and yeah underoath are a christian screamo band, I doubt I'd like any of their views (I've heard they've had some trouble with other bands on tour due to them) but at the same time they sound good.

Haha, I find it hilarious that someone would totally disregard a band because the members are Christians. The fact that they are Christians doesn't affect their musical ability or anything. Even if I wasn't a Christian, I would still choose to listen to them over many other screamo bands because I don't like hearing about people committing suicide or being slaughtered, which is the subject matter of a number of screamo bands' lyrics. I'm not saying all non-christian screamo bands' lyrics are like that; but many are.

I would suggest looking up Solid State Records, although the calibre of their bands has been decreasing lately... Nonetheless, they have some good bands!
And if you want something more tame, Tooth & Nail Records is a good stop :)

TS, do you just mean bands that use screaming? Like not proper 'technically correct' screamo? Cause if so good ones off the top of my head.
-Amity Affliction
-All That Remains
-Misery Signals
-Parkway Drive
-Dropsaw
-Modern Life Is War
-The Red Shore
-No Apologies
(The majority of which is aussie, i love aussie heavy music)

Or did you mean the proper screamo stuff that genre nazi's will flame you for using for anything else which is stuff like; Circle Takes Square, Saetia and more currently The Blood Brothers...

That's just cause NOFX, particularly Fat Mike, are a bunch of wankers way past their time.
Or maybe I just really don't like NOFX and like Underoath a fair bit...

the only trouble underoath had was when they wer emade fun of on stage by the lead of nofx, he was saying it would be alright if his 13 yo daughter went out and had sex and having a go at underoath out of absolutely nothing.
