For our two related pieces of material, are we allowed to have two of the same medium?

Say you're prescribed is a movie, are your own two related texts allowed to be two novels? Or must it be along the lines of ONE novel, and ONE song?

I think its better to use two differnt types of sources, for marking sake. But if your heaps keen on doing two novels i highly doubt they're going to deduct marks from you.

yeah i have the same thing i ahve 2 novels as well.. like my prescribed text is teh novel..
and my related are a novel, movie, and (if needed) an article/poem (its about time i decided though)

Yeah, I think I'll use a novel and song, just to be on the safe side.
