Hey i was wondering if anyone could clear this thingy up for me, i asked my religion teacher if for the section 2 essat part if they could ask a question which had to result in mentioning and analysing two parts e.g. rites of passage and rite of puble worship, and he said it is possible but highly unlikely, but then i asked another teacher and he said that they wouldn't?

so what is the true answer?

i think that they can... whether they will or not is pure guesswork.

i think theyll try and keep the same level of difficulty across all the crs though... so im not sure

Kutay, stop stressing over the rites essay!!!

They can ask whatever they want to (aslong as its in the syllabus) and yes that may mean 2 rites in 2 traditions (see the CSSA trial)

I currently have a bet going that the question will be on this dot point..

• compare and contrast examples from the same religious rites within TWO
religious traditions in relation to TWO of the following:
– the nature, role and function of officiating celebrants
– significance of sacred writings
– use of symbolism
– social structure
– human experiences.

any other takers??

Yeah i reckon it is going to be that too
we had that in our trial except it was
compare and contrast examples from the rite of passage within TWO
religious traditions in relation to TWO of the following: [something like that]
– the nature, role and function of officiating celebrants
– significance of sacred writings
– use of symbolism
– social structure
– human experiences.

hopefully it will be something on the lines of:
compare and contrast examples from the rite of passage OR rite of public worship within TWO religious traditions in relation to TWO of the following: – the nature, role and function of officiating celebrants
– significance of sacred writings
– use of symbolism
– social structure
– human experiences.
[something like that in the HSC]

ill do symbols and either nature role and function or sacred writings

coz they asked everyday lives of believers last year...
ALSO, whats good is that the question last year was on rites of PERSONAL DEVOTION or PUBLIC WORSHIP... not marriage (passage)
therefore MARRIAGE will definitely be in there :D
I'm better on marriage than communion/synagogue
