Renting vs buying textbooks (1 Viewer)

I am considering renting textbooks for the following subjects:

ECON1001- Introductory Microeconomics
ECON1002- Introductory Macroeconomics
ECON1003- Quantitative Methods in Economics
ECMT1010- Business and Economic Statistics A

Would I need the textbooks for any of these units in later semesters? Or would they just be used for the one semester?

Depends how much it is to rent. Usually it is good to buy them 2nd hand. You at least them to reference in future

new 2013 ones from co-op to gain access into the online learning materials. Lecturers highly recommend that. Especially Macro and Micro.

yeah the use of access codes now kinda destroys the market for second hand and rented books, as I believe the code can only be used once?

I rented my macro book from jekkle $35, and bought connect (the online thing) from the Pearson website. So all up $60

But im still struggling to find a decent price for the micro book

yeah macro is pretty easy to find. I'm buying a second hand for $45 and then will buy that online thing.
Micro book is like $130 for co-op members right?

Nah I think it's a bit more than that...like $140

I paid $180 something for the case study book and the micro textbook from the coop bookshop
