Newt Gingrich is a big problem, he picks the side of the people that are paying him the most money. Unfortunately, the only Republican that can actually give him shit for it is Ron Paul but the media absolutely refuses to give Ron Paul any acknowledgement. I'd love to see Ron Paul win the candidature but he won't, he would be the only one with any hope of beating Obama but without him the Republicans are going to lose, Obama is going to drive the USA further into debt and America will eventually default, maybe not for a while but at some point within our lifetimes unless drastic spending cuts are undertaken.

I don't deny this but the polls show that Ron Paul is the only hope of the Republicans winning and he won't getting the candidacy.

The wreckless spending from countless governments has put the US into a state that without drastic cuts they will be forced to default. It won't be in the near future but without massive cuts they will default and it's likely to be within our lifetime. I know this is speculation but still.

The problem with Obama is he promised to be so much more than he was. But his stimulus measures are ruining the American economy even more and when that money dries up more people will suffer. Honestly, with any of the other candidates other than Ron Paul, and probably even with him, the Republicans still don't have a shot.

wrong, interest payments vs. recurrent revenues is empirically demonstrated to be the more plausible indicator of whether a government will ever default. interests rates are being artificially held low and the debt is being inflated away. the only risk was sovereign - the debt ceiling - which obama and his power rangers overcame.
