for a good exam response you need to answer the question, assess the themes that go along with it and add the nesseccary quotes that match the themes. the main aim is to at least make it look like you know what you are talking about.

true, true. the problem is, i guess, that everyone pretty much knows HOW to write a good response (god knows we've had it drilled into us often enough!) but knowing how and being able to do it are two totally different things.

I'm kinda struggling with ancient history,
I dont really know how to set the actual essay out.

I know u have to relate to the questions and everything but,,

english being my second language,, I'm not really sure what kind of style or format examiners would want for ancient his essay...

help me please
