Re: Results and Predictions (Sem 1 '08)

Quite a useful subject, I recommend it. It really is a must for a government major.
It focuses on the policy cycle/process. Basically each week you look at a different stage in the cycle, learning how policy is developed and what influences its design.

The game design task was dumped for this year after bad feedback. Assesment was 4 (500, 1000, 2000 and 2500 words) essays plus 5% participation.

This year's outline is attached.

EDUF1018 Education, Teachers and Teaching 63.0 Pass
I passed! Must have been MASSIVE scaling, since I'm fairly sure I failed the exam.
How I hated this subject.

...
I went away for TEN MINUTES and when I came back I had another result for ANHS 1600! Finally some arts results! =D

Re: Results and Predictions (Sem 1 '08)

finally! 74, 73, 73 and 80. not a fantastic semester but i'm fairly happy with that. particularly the 80, which was for ancient history. would've been disappointed with anything below that.

semester WAM: 75
degree WAM so far: 78 - assuming that WAM doesn't weight for 1000, 2000, 3000 level subjects, which i'm not sure about

woo!

Re: Results and Predictions (Sem 1 '08)

SCLG 2604 Social Inequality in Australia 90.0 High Distinction
SCLG 2607 Social Movements and Policy Making 85.0 High Distinction

I have NFI how I managed to pull that HD in social movements?!?!?!

I got 60% for an essay worth 30% of my overall mark...IWhich means I would have needed about 100% in my final essay to get a hd :< I really think there must have been a mistake.

But I'm not likely to poiint it out to anyone.

Another one:

Way disappointed. Had a 75% average before the final take-home essay. Not sure what happened...

Hey, don't feel that way.. some people who got a pass average may be discouraged to post their marks here (only post when they have higher marks), so u won't be the only one who has passes! I got lots of passes in the past as well.. ur not alone! Work harder and good luck in the future.

Omigosh, this is so exciting!

Maybe they're in a speshul time-release schedule.
