I'm only a first year so don't be too hard on me, but will these be our overall marks for the subjects or will they add in the rest of our marks to our exam results which we just received.

Hope that makes sense. I'm stoked with my results so not too worried either way just checking.

Lol you sound scared to ask, since when did BOSers become scary? That's the final mark, it is your exam mark and all the other assessment marks. You don't usually ever find out your actualy exam mark. Congrats on surviving your first semester

Does anyone think half of the uni will know by the end of tonight? I've sure told a fair few people, who have since added it to their facebook status...

what's the norm mark for LAW114

Faculty of Arts divisions don't have KPI crap anymore, so there is no normal mark - only what is historically average (which is not released).

This means that you can make an aim and be happy if you reach it.

Faculty of Arts divisions don't have KPI crap anymore, so there is no normal mark - only what is historically average (which is not released).

This means that you can make an aim and be happy if you reach it.

No idea, tbh. Don't really care... You shouldn't either - jurisprudence is the biggest waste of MQ law students' time.

Weh, I think I used the wrong word - KPI is a different thing here. Anyway, basically the uni is aiming to get rid of marks being streamed/scaled/moderated/whatevered as much, and aiming for conveners to set assessments that create a bellcurve.

Ie, so they can say "we don't scale our marks, conveners are just so awesome that they set good assignments".

^ This hasn't been enforced yet, but most conveners in the new Faculty of Arts (which includes law, and I believe the convener of juris) have adopted it now. Not very hard, imo, and makes life easier for markers because their guidelines are more precise.
