i have a 11" macbook air for carrying everyday

a 10.1" netbook for when i need something really really portable

a 14.1" laptop when i need power on the go (and it's too big imo)

and a powerful desktop for when i'm at home

--

srsly 13.3" should be the largest laptop anyone buys imo

I got nothing from my parents for doing anything, or achieving whatever in the HSC. I thinking gifting your child for all their hard efforts isn't really necessary (and some go overboard) but it's certainly a nice gesture. Some kids get cars - but I suppose if that's what the parents can afford.

edit: @ohexploitable: macbook air would suffice as your portable device imo.

15'6" is fine unless you're using it in lectures where it'd probs be kinda cramped.

I wont get anything if i do well in the hsc. The inner satisfaction that i will get after reaching my goal is better than any present that they buy me. Im not even expecting anything, ill be happy with one "bravo" lol :) But i know it for a fact that on the day that i go to my formal the whole family will be at mine celebrating and ill get some sorts of presents. Fuck it, its a cultural thing. No one gives a shit if i get a good atar, but when i go to the city and get smashed everyones supporting me :)

Holy shit, some of you getting trips to Europe, <$20000 cars? I get nothing except for a hug and a few pats on the back, and that's all I want and expect.

Wow, you have a lot of computers haha. I have an i7 desktop for home and a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 for on the go (I put a 256GB SSD in there, works like a charm).

Also, does the MBA have a HDMI or DisplayPort, then you don't have to buy a ridiculously expensive Thunderbolt display. OH, and I almost forgot.. X1 > MBA or MBP hehehe

Wow some of you guys have very free giving relations. I'll get a hug and a well done whether I get 99 or 65, and I wouldn't really be pressing for anything else.

i came home last night for the first time since tuesday morning and collapsed on my bed. my parents have barely said two words regarding my exams and i prefer it that way.
