Gough Whitlam was the Labor hero who was pulled down by Malcolm Fraser. John Howard questioned whether that should have been done. Howard wasn't opposed to pulling down Whitlam at that time. Gough Whitlam was an altruistic man who championed natural justice for the disadvantaged and underprivileged in Australia.
