Both from my personal experiences take roughly the similar time to traverse. And that's like 3-6 minutes; not long. Unless you have a walking disability or have a tendency to stop and chat with people every few metres.manifestation said:

you'll soon learn all the shortcuts, and really it'll take you no time at all...
Bosch to Carslaw? It'd never take you more than 10 minutes! If you head up Physics Road, turn right, and then take your first left, you can dash up the stairs near the giant gas bottle, and be at Eastern Avenue/Carslaw before you know it...
Keep in mind, when looking at the map: every grid square is only the equivalent of 100 metres... so really, its not THAT far.
Any lecturer who actually cares what time you arrive obviously needs a reality check, especially if you don't disturb anyone. If they give you a dirty look, just smile and wave...
