Hey guys i was just looking at the matrixeducation.com uai/ATAR calculator n i have a querie....I want to get an aligned HSC mark of 73, it says i need a scaled mark of 47.6.... Since i know Business studies scaling is pretty neutral does that mean i need a raw mark of around 50??? (ps my rank is 4/19) Thanks!!

Your aligned mark is determined from your raw mark. No one can predict the required raw mark to achieve 73 aligned.

Your aligned mark is then scaled by UAC to take into account the relative difficulty of individual subjects. Since Business is considered a relatively low scaling course, a mark of 73 will scale to only 47.6/100, thus contributing 47.6 points towards your aggregate which is out of 500 (2u = 100). Your aggregate is what determine your ATAR.
