What is a good school rank to acheive a good UAI?
I mean, yes, I know it all depends on you as an indiviaual/internal ranks (please don't tell me that, I am aware), but I mean, where is the cutoff area that schools are considered high acheiving?
Is is like, 1-50? Or like 1-100's?
My school's in the 30's.
Dunno if there is a "cutoff" -- I'd think its more opinion? Like my school is ranked just outside the top 100, yet we still get at least 3 students each year who get 99 +.

IMO, 30 is a good rank.

Mm, I'd agree it's opinion. Just wondering what all your opinions are ;) Seems a lot of people on BoS are from top 10 ranking schools.

I don't think its that many.
A lot come from non-top 10 ranking schools, selective, private and just public schools. But to me, a good ranking school would be top 50.

i doubt it really matters which school you go to for your hsc. if you want to do well, you can still get 99+ uai at your local public school.

i guess what i am trying to say is, don't get complacent just because you go to ruse or high or baulko, i've had friends from those schools bombed their hsc. by the same token, you shouldn't be disheartened if you are at a 'lesser' school.

good luck for sc, kids.

It's easier to do well if you're at a better school because your school helps your result both directly and indirectly. I'm 8th :(. I think private school are usually much lower on the list because their more gifted students would tend to do IB instead.

Merewether High School, 30th :)

Rankings don't matter much to me, but it's nice to see that our public school made up of kids from all over the Hunter always beats the expensive local private schools. Money can't always buy quality or results.
