School plans for year 10 in term 4 (1 Viewer)

Personally I don't really see the point in going to school in term 4, or at least after the school certificate. Anyway, what are your school's plans for term 4 for the year 10 students at your school?

My school changes uniform (for the boys its just the tie which is a hideous dark green and white diagonally striped *shudders*), and after the school certificate and HSC Exams are over, I think we get to move into the senior area of the school.

I have 5 more assesment which are all due around the school certificate, so as I mentioned earlier I don't particularly see the point in going to school after that is done. What is the point in History and Geography??? English? In my school we have to do a whole unit on "To Kill a Mockingbird" (which I have only read one page of so far (procrastination ftw)) and then nothing after that. Although in Maths we are still currently preparing for the school certificate, I can only see the point in going to Maths classes after the SC because you can start work on next years topics (although I'm not sure if we will do that or just bludge).

So anyway put a post in that says what your school is doing next term regarding year 10, for before and after the school certificate.

Also do any schools consider the year 10's to be in Year 11 once you go back or after the school certificate or something, because my school only considers us year 11 from next year.

My school is giving a crash course of Vet it. So almost every kid in my class is going to the VET IT prelim.
Doesnt matter though, all im waiting for after the SC are the results and my new school XD

Plans for after school certificate are attending school, completing whatever task is set by the teacher, go home and then play DotA for hours until bed time.

is either we can go home after SC or stay at school until the end..

the subjects that i know wat we going to do if we stay until the end is science and maths..
maths will continuing the textbook..[5.3]
and science will review the things we need in prelim and split the class according the science subject they doing..[im doing 2 science,,so im having two classes at the same time?!:rofl::rofl:]

Yeh my class is just continuing with the 5.3 textbook, but i think we will start on a bit of Yr 11 maths from the Mathematics course, just some basic stuff, coz some people in my class are doing general next year.

Two classes at once??? maybe they will make you pick which one you wanna do.... that sounds weird. But for my science I think we will just be bludging til the end of the year after school certificate, and my teacher will think up something else for us to do in that time coz she's so awesome

my school was supposed to teach us some things, but we bludged for everything except Maths. English was like movies, movies, movies. Maths was like logarithms, logarithms, logarithms. Science was like experiments, experiments, experiments.

I've got hardly anything on except to do my part of the RSC Yearbook (as part of commerce work), orientation week at my new school (since I'm gonna be moving to SSC blackwattle bay) and probably enhance on some more english comprehension, practice writing and yr 11 3 unit math tutoring xD

and if theres really nothing to do in the lessons, then perhaps I'll just stay home or jig school....

shit thing is that our last day is like friday 11th december... and i dun get to finish as early as others ><

we change uniform in term 4.
so, we get to wear our senior uniform on monday.
we have yearly exams from 20th october - 28th october =/

our school makes us come to school even after sc.. infact i wouldn't be surprised if we still had work and they gave us assignments etc.
our school formal is on 21st november ! i'm looking forward to that (a few friends and i organised it , i hope it goes well)
we have some science excursion on 20th november.. we're going to luna park, for science (physics topics)
after that, i don't think much happens..

and the teachers always tell us about how we're the "1st non-selective all-girls public school in the state"
and our teachers also always like us competing up to the standards of north sydney girls high school hah =/

Maths, I think we split into our classes for next year (which I think is stupid because even though most kids in my year are doing maths, some aren't) and prepare for year 11, seeing as we're not actually allowed to start year 11 work.
Other classes such as geography and history and our electives are going to be bludges :]
We're not allowed to leave unless we have a part-time job, or we're doing work experience which, luckily, I am the week after the SC, but still have to come back to finish assessments, All My Own Work and whatnot.

My school is determined to keep us there for as long as possible after the SC, so not to taint their "perfect attendence" records.
