Heh me too, don't worry. I've already worked out that our school came 3rd in the region. Pretty good for 28 students at a non-selective school.wwjd_frog14 said:lol...i have 2 b very patient...mine is the very last 1...hehe...yay 4 wollongong!!

Hmmm....I thought Sefton is like halfway between Fairfield and Bankstown. A lot of the parks and facilities we use outside of school, especially in sporting events, are under the permission of Bankstown council..............Phanatical said:Fairfield

Tradition of Excellence - Sisters both hit HSC centuries:
Larissa Cummings (Daily Telegraph):
HSC student Anna Sarlej upheld a family tradition at Girraween High School when she scored a perfect UAI of 100.
Just three years ago, her older sister Margaret did likewise.
Anna, who placed second in the state for ancient history and philosophy, now has her pick of university scholarships.
And to the delight of her school principal Graeme Holden, she wants to follow in her parents' footsteps and become a teacher -- her father teaches physical education at Girraween High School and her mother is a casual teacher.
Mr Holden said Anna and Margaret were two of the brightest students to have studied at Girraween, a selective public school.
"They are both extremely bright girls, but we knew that Anna was keen to run her own race. We didn't want to burden her with living up to the standard set by Margaret.
"But she was very determined and she worked really hard."
Girraween High ranked third in the Parramatta district behind selective schools James Ruse Agricultural High and Baulkham Hills High.
The school achieved 211 mentions in the high achievers' list for subject results above 90.
The encouraging HSC results attained by public schools this year showed what schools can achieve with dedicated teachers and keen students, Mr Holden said.
"Some parents feel they are giving their kids an advantage by putting them into a private school, but bright kids will do just as well in the public system," he said.
"This year's superb results show the quality of teachers and students is high in the public system.
"If you've got a good coach and a dedicated team, you'll bring home the results."
Anna studied HSC level chemistry last year as an accelerated student and placed fourth in the state.
"I phoned her to congratulate her on her result and she is being offered scholarships galore, but she really wants to be a school teacher," Mr Holden said.
He said several other top-ranking 2005 students were also interested in studying education next year.
This is a perfect example of why this ranking system is flawed.Phanatical said:Taree Region
