This year seems to have just been the usual 'what are my chances of getting in to medicine?' posts, who's left recently that use to frequent?

I am being persecuted by molecular bology now...
I miss a session with only one bio subject...two bio subjects one session just kill me...and say "goodbye" to 90s forever...

Hey Iruka, I plan to do MATH2301 + MATH2281 + MATH2801 or MATH2901...
r they coool?

and BTW, I hope Supervisor09 came here to have a talk his new PHD life in Cambridge Univ...

MATH2281 is cool. (Usually it's taught by my supervisor and co-supervisor - how could it not be?)

MATH2301 I never did , so I don't know, but I am having fun teaching myself Matlab at the moment (that is not meant to be sarcastic, either, I think Matlab is much easier to learn than Maple.)

MATH2801 (yuk, stats!) is probably a necessary evil...

I am doing a research masters in applied maths. You could call it biomathematics, although biomathematics is a fairly vague term that encompasses many different things. I started it this year, but I am only studying part time, so I don't know when I will finish (sometime within the next 3 years, I hope).

I finished a BSc/BEd from UNSW at the end of S1 last year.

I need to transfer into a combination of Mechanical Engineering and Material Science.
I've done MATH1131, MATH1231, PHYS1121 but I need to do PHYS1221.
Bugger.
I know it's a lot of electromagnetics I hope it's just similar to PHYS1121 otherwise.
I should be able to handle line integrals and other further maths, etc.

How many people here have taken MATH2130? Did anyone find it as impossibly hard as I did, or was it just because I didn't even do the pre-reqs that I found it insanely difficult?

If that's the entire MATH2130 content it doesn't look too hard.
The notes may need cleaning up.
That's it. I found the first half OK, but got lost completely by week 10. I'm probably no longer that good at maths, but I like to blame the fact that I was doing 30UOC, and never did the pre-reqs (I had no clue about Fourier representations, for example).

On a different note, if any of you get the opportunity, I highly recommend you do advanced optics.
