In a serious circuit to you connect negative, to positive, or negative to negative?

Do you do the same for parallel, if not, what do you do?

What do you mean? A power supply needs to be connected up completely so a current can flow. Parallel is no different except there are two paths for the current to flow.

just only look at the battery and the negative terminal of the battery will attract with the negative of the component (by wires) , same for the positive terminal. The rest in the middle just needs to connect together.
