Tall tower was for water.

The 3 small choad things were for making and grinding flour.

Didn't do well at all in the multiple choice (2/6 right), but all of the written responses for the exam were pretty good! Hopefully it's enough for band 6! What does everyone think the cut off will be this year?

Tower was for water.
Circle things were for flour.

I wasn't very prepared for the exam but I'm hoping I'll get at least Band 5 (Y)

Tower was definitely water, confirmed by my teacher. I got that one wrong. :(
What was the aediles' job?
The 4 and 6-markers about human remains and slaves were pretty easy to bullshit. 10-marker was good.

I think the cut-off would be at least 85/100 for a band 6. Mid to late-80s, I reckon.

the ten marker was good, the slaves question was probably the worst part :/

Pompeii - multiple choice was really promising, especially now that I've found out the answers for that tower & random dome things...the how did they die question skipped my memory a little - just said they drowned trying to escape by boat or suffocated...mentioned some thing about their bloody boiling haha - i swear i heard it in class...slaves question fine - 10 marker fine

sparta was fine i seemed to finish it really quickly

hannibal - Wasnt too bad, I never know

Rome 264-133BC - i was betting on the question and got it - lucky! did a good answer.

Overall I'm happy. Better than my trial - plz ban 6...any ideas of the cutoff, and how will our rank impact it??

Pompeii and Herculaneum was good. I was annoyed with the 10 marker because it was the one thing I didn't want them to ask about, but I still got enough down for a decent mark.

With the typical Personalities question; conflicting images and interpretations of your Personality was a bit tricky when they decided to ask how the interpretations have EVOLVED OVER TIME. I mean sure I could produce a whole thesis on how Hellenocentric and Persian bias sources differ in their representations of King Xerxes, but to ask how those representations have specifically changed over time is a bit unfair. What were they expecting? Us to have memorized 25 different sources, one for every century since his death, demonstrating how each representation has differed form the last?

Kind of annoyed. Remind anyone else of English's Changing Belonging "over the passage of time"?
