he lost 2 teeth in the process.

As long as you don't get sent to Iraq yeah go for it.
_Bushra_, it's better if its boring, otherwise you get bashed in the head with glass bottles, which is certainly not "boring" but certainly not "interesting" either. Getting paid $22/h for standing around all day sounds good to me, as opposed to getting paid $22/h acting as a human buffer against anything unsocial (includes large mobs armed with glass bottles).

my friend did some work as a security guard at fox studios, guarding celebs when they do public appearences. she gets good money but has to deal with large groups of people crammed into small spaces and going crazy over whoever theyre seeing. shes not a good build for it tho, tall and very thin

an aunt of mine was doing security at the entertainment centre, she sees lots of concerts when shes working. she did security for the wiggles, they actually had a stalker so they needed more security at that stage than a few international acts lol

depends where ur at
like security at local shopping centre is a bludge
or a security outside coles or whatever
u get shifty hours..
if u can handle standing around doing nothing..for hours...
or all of a sudden having to chase someone or stop a theft or fight ..or whatever..

i say its good..and good money too..not hard to be security..they need em everywhere

It's only good if you are more than capable of chasing someone, stopping a theft or a fight, incapacitating or disarming people or whatever. It's only good if you can choose to do security at a shopping centre or other bludge sites where the chance of you having to actually do work is minimal.
