Yes you can, I know about 16-20 guys went into my grade back in year 11 at north sydney. There are generally a couple of things the selective school will want from you, like report cards, and i'm quite sure they had to do a test of sorts as well. Contact the school/s that you want to go to and ask them what you need to do.

er, it's pretty much what SSaint said. I think you will need a very good rank/marks in your current school at most of the subjects you are doing

You need that application form (from memory it's green in colour)- it's like a little book. Different schools have different entry requirements- some may require report cards, a test, or even a personal essay about why you want to attend that school, etc... If I recall correctly, the Baulko application wasn't too demanding in terms of what they needed from applicants.

Can't remember when the application is due, but if you're serious, you should try calling up the schools ASAP regarding this to prevent missing out... but I think you have until like 3rd term or something before the forms are due.

There's quite a few people who came into my school that way- and funnily enough, the people who were new in year11, did really really well in the HSC in comparison to alot of us who had been there since yr7 and gotten lazy.

Where do u live around? Apply for more than one selective school, dont make the same mistake that many otheres do Also contact all the selective schools you are applying for to get further application forms.

Fill out the forms, submit every award, merit, certificate, report etc that you recieved at school in the last two years. Also you must submit your yr 10 half yearly report.

I got into penrith selective last year PM me for any info or advice.

Selective high schools provide an educationally enriched environment for highly achieving, academically talented students. Agricultural high schools are selective high schools which emphasise the study of agriculture, with the residential sections giving some priority to isolated students.

Entry to selective high schools in Years 8 to 12 does not depend on a centralised program as entry to Year 7 does. A common application package applies to all schools and is available online, from all selective high schools and from school education area offices. A separate application form must be provided to each selective high school you choose, up to a maximum of four schools.

Closing Date: 1 August 2005

I'm also inclined to think applying for more than one is the way to go- unless it's "this or nothing" (eg. a selective high school in your area).
