maybe. you could try enrolling in it. i'm doing marketing with engo, science and marine science students, so im guessing you could get permission from Arts

the problem with mktg1001 is that it will be very theoretically-based as you need to understand the theory behind marketing. also, if you get a crappy lecturer, you won't enjoy the subject as much. however, after you do mktg1001, you have lots of amazing subjects available to you, like Advertising and Brands.

Awesome, I'll definitely look into that. How easy are faculties about giving permission to do subjects outside of what's prescribed as part of the degree?

depends on the fuckulty. E&B faculty will be quite lenient in letting you do marketing if you have decent results. Arts may be harder to convince.

What do you want to work as (I think I've asked you before but have forgotten)

Marketing, human resources management (psych)...something along those lines perhaps.
I'm currently with the Arts faculty, so you think they'll be alittle harder to convince then Economics and Business?

i think you need to convince both. marketing principles and consumer behaviour would be quite useful (although they are the dryer ones). consumer behaviour is the psychology of marketing
