How did you approach the ecop paper, CR?
Um i talked about how social values were embedded, and how that was realised in economic thought, like economic rationalism for N.C and fiscal/monetary policy for keynes.

Then i said like keynesian ec resonated with me because i was frustrated with the was N.C didn't acc for social concerns adequatley (even if it does have 'externatlities' etc etc) and then i talked about wider social considerations.

I'd just rip on Marx for emphasising jealousy as a legitimate basis for a system of government. His consistent references to how if I have a two storey house and my neighbour has a mansion, that I'm significantly worse off than if we both lived in two storey houses epitomise the very evils of human nature that he sets out to combat.

well...to add to what waf said and to look at it from a slightly more ecop1001 friendly p.o.v, i'd say that he talked about exploitation for the first time, and while his views may not have been practical, they were helpful in providing a framework for future analysis to incorporate wider political economic concerns?
