ok:

if the timetable says something, then you do it. the timetable people are not ambiguous folks.
To be fair, most of the timetables I've gotten have said that tutorials were on in week 1, and they almost never really were.

It's still probably best to turn up just in case though. At the very least, you'll know where your tute room is for the second week. And its v. annoying to miss the first tutorial - it seems to screw with your entire semester.

Yeah they tend to assign groupwork partners in the first tutorial. It sucks to arrive in the second one being the odd one out.

What's the deal with that? Usually they arrive in January.

At least the current card is valid til the end of march.

The piece of paper is, like, detached from everything else. It doesn't come in an envelope or anything - probably v. easy to lose

Although if everybody is having the same trouble, something has probably gone wrong at the university side of things.

Clearly there are plenty of us who havn't recived the piece of paper and I'm sure we can't all be retards who have lost it. Although if I find out the maid threw it out she will be looking for a new job which will be rather difficult with her black eye.
