Mine was only late by a few minutes and was express. I reckon I would've almost been home by the time you were leaving Central.

Well that’s quite an interesting position Jim, but it doesn't make sense to me. Here we have a political group that is supposed to be elected by students to represent the student body (because it is actively involved in the SRC), yet there is active denial of this exact group to actually represent students on issues that concern students. This appears as though the Socialist Alternative doesn’t actually respect the intentions of which the institution of the Student Representative Council was founded for. It appears as though the objectives of the Socialist Alternative are all about lobbying and hijacking the SRC for funds and the means in which to promote themselves and their irrelevant interests. If this group doesn’t want to represent campus issues in the student representative council, then they are clearly a purely political infiltration that are on the SRC simply for political gain.I've written two letters to Honi. Both were pretty angry, so I'm guessing that neither will be published. Here's one of them (I purposefully misspelled her name three times)

Oh Honi,
I wish to briefly respond to Atilla Kandemir's letter, not on behalf of the Socialist Alternative but on behalf of common sense.
The image of Israel as an bulldog is far more fair than Atila gives it credit for. The elected government of Israel (which is the intended target of the poster), regardless of the particular party, frequently launches violent, nonsensical and aggressive attacks against its neighbours much like a rabid bulldog would against fellow dogs. Suicide bombing is hardly a fair image for Palestine, as very few Palestinians are suicide bombers, nor does a majority of Palestinians support such a reprehensible act.
I also object to Atilia's assertion that the Socialist Alternative ought to focus on campus issues. If Atillia, or anyone else wants to see a group dedicated to that, they should take a more active role in their SRC or student union. The Socialist Alternative is an interest group directed towards socialism, and it functions as such. It is absurd for her to level a criticism at them because they do not confront such international disasters as RIGHT HANDED WRITING SURFACES. It is not their job, as a socialist interest group, to care about such trivial issues.
I lastly suggest that thousands dying in Gaza as a result of shameful Israeli politics is a tad more important than left handed writing surfaces, so anyone focusing on Gaza over your pet peeve is probably right to do so.
Sincerely
Jim Cronshaw

If you read this recent SRC motion, you should be able to determine the nature of points that are addressed. They are clearly politically biased and motivated. The aim of this motion is to align the SRC towards the political position and opinions of one political view, that of the socialists.April 1st SRC General Meeting said:1. The USYD SRC publicly condemns Israels attack on Gaza
2. The USYD SRC publicly endorses and partakes in the BDS movement
3. The USYD SRC call on Sydney University to endorse and partake in the BDS movement
4. The USYD SRC endorse palestine solidarity week
5. The USYD SRC commits $1000 annually to fund palestine solidarity week, accessible by the 'global solidarity officer'.
6. The USYD SRC immediately issues a press release about this meeting and its decisions.

Perhaps you are a delinquent. Allow me to break it down for youMore absurdly, the points of this motion do nothing to aid or represent students. It would remove $1000 of SRC funding and put it towards a political agenda, one that is not even in the interest of the common student. This is undoubtedly, a move against a fair, unbiased and apolitical SRC.
Being an ('an' if it preceeds a vowel) avid chemist myself, I find YOU disgustingBeing a avid student teacher myself, I find this disgusting.
So, somehow the general meeting magically came to make a motion in which all seven points are purely interests of the socialist alliance?.....Listen to me, alrighty? The SA is not elected by anyone.
I assume you're therefore talking about Left Focus. Regarding Left Focus, you would be quite naive to believe that they were elected for any reason other than their political views - it's the reason why everyone knows them. They were elected based on their political views, and their bringing of political views to SRC meetings is justified as they have mandate to do so.
No.....the socialist alliance has an elected lobby in the SRC....it happens to have a fancy name....left focus. In general, the socialists are a joke. Middle class yuppies who think they are an exclusive elite. You may not like this, and you may believe that more attention should be given to left handed benches. That is a fine view to take, and you should consider running for the SRC if you believe that is an important issue. As it stands, a fair number of people elected Left Focus because they liked what they stood for, and they were elected. Get over it. Left Focus should and do represent the students that voted for them.
The SA isn't elected by the student body you stupid bitch. The rest of what you wrote is therefore moot.
The institution is supposed to represent students. Undermining the function of the SRC isn't representing student interest, it is being favourable towards a particular view. The lefties want to make the SRC a leftist institution.Perhaps you are a delinquent. Allow me to break it down for you
SRC = Students Representative Council
so um, if the students elected a bunch of socialists to represent them based on their political views, how exactly is this unfair?
Go back to being an internet armchair general, where you can cower in your ignorant and racist naivety. I think you need to take a chill pill, or get laid, because you seem like you have alot of pent up rage.Listen up: Your entire view is based on the notion that the SRC should be unbiased. This is rubbish: It is a representative council and therefore any lack of bias would be a failure of its ability to represent students. I'm not going to respond to your tangential political arguments as they have no relevance to this issue, but I'd be happy to chat about them another day. You have no point: Go back to writing shit letters for Honi.
You must have a basic failure to comprehend the difference between what is representation and what is institutional reform.Listen up: Your entire view is based on the notion that the SRC should be unbiased. This is rubbish: It is a representative council and therefore any lack of bias would be a failure of its ability to represent students.
