My group member got three hours to put something together and she sends me this:
There are 2 main reasons for leaving school

1. Lack of interest in school
2. Desire for work

Variations in student motives i.e. underlying factors which contribute to their reasons for leaving:

1. Age of the leaver
2. Urban vs rural and remote leavers
3. Gender
4. Indigenous
5. Homeless and poor
I'm going to rip someone's jugular out. :( What is this?!

Really? all my physics ones are google-able, my psych ones are multiple choice with unlimited attempts (except my report), and my chem analysis due tomorrow is just plugging things into excel.. then all the rest are MC tests

have you done your chem report ?
Haven't finished yet, hopefully will get done before lab tomorrow.

Have done the easy excel bits, have you finished? What concentration did you use to work out the specific rotation, as there are 3 diff ones apparently? Rest is easy peasy.

I know it's stupidly simple, I"m just too tired, lol.

almost, im up to part 4. ummm, you dont need concentration, just length, because you're using the gradient ([a]l/100)

3 different specific rotations..? i thought there were just two, one for each enantiomer
damn i'm tired, keep not being able to sleep, cant think.

I don't get it though, isn't it a=([a]l)/100 x c ?? How do you get the rotation from the gradient?

did you print off the task description? it has everything step by step

when you use the data analysis tool, you get the gradient, then it tells you that gradient = [a]l/100, so you dont even need concentration, you just use that formula

otherwise youll be plugging all the different values for concentration into the other formula and itll be 20 times more work.
where are you up to? end of part 2?
yeah, following instrcutions but tired. what do i do with the gradient tho, what does that mean in terms of determing the optical rotation?
