How do you calculate your GPA?

And can someone with shitty results please post them to give me a much-needed ego boost.

I find it amusing that my accounting mark is above my maths mark considering I didn't try at all in that, and gave Maths a fair bit more of a go than last session (62 then haha). I think I must not have done too well in the later maths chapters. Blah. Overall they're fine. I was actually worried about failing accounting and economics and I don't seem to have come anywhere near.

You'll be doing Second Year Law units, whereas he'll be doing First Year Law units.

Edit: Misread Asq's post.

I should point out that some informal enquiries I made seem to indicate that UNSW exercise some discretion when determining their law transfer cut-off, and can be rather liberal at times...

Though it will be hard to predict this year, with the USYD cut-off most likely on the rise.

Many courses do. I have on good authority that although soft eng has some ungodly high UAI, the actual lowest UAI was something like 10 pts below cutoff...

How many credit points is that? Did you overload?
6uoc.

No, I didn't overload: INFS1611, SENG1010, SENG1020 and MATH2400 were all 3uoc.

was it hard to handle? I heard 3UOC subjects, during exam time, feel no different from 6UOC subjects

Luckily for mclake and I, seng1010/1020 didn't have an exam (just assessments), the infs course and exam was over in the first half of the session, and only the maths exam was left for the fateful last exam.

BTW, if I failed a course which was on the program of my degree (say, oh, math2400 of the seng degree), do I have to do this course again until I pass it?

ah well I suppose thats alright then.

hmm..if the subject is required by you're degree, yes, u have to do it again till u pass it, in order to graduate and/or do the next subjects for which math2400 is a prerequisite(if it happens to be)

You will have to retake it, but I don't think it is a pre-req for anything (except stats maybe)
