It must have been at least a month since the USU elections, there's been heaps and heaps of rain since then, so why are there still chalkings advertising Ruchir everywhere?

I suppose you could say that he's well and truly left his mark on the university.

Lol? Lol?

Ha. It'll probably be more enduring than 'building a community' or whatever his catch phrase was.

Apropos of nothing, when do we get timetables for next semester? I'm going to be on holiday until the Saturday before semester starts, so I'm hoping to be able to edit it before I leave.

Hey man, Ruchir was cool. He gave me a sticker.

I believe we can edit our timetables as of July 1st or something, no? :santa:

Something like that. Not the 1st, but the 6th, from memory. I'm probably wrong though. I've already answered that question in this thread, and can't be bothered searching for it again.

Re: Semester I 2007 - Chatter Thread!

Last year, at this exact time, we got them during the first week of exams. Which is a pretty big step for usyd...who typically hands out timetables 2 days before semester 1 starts. lol

Hoping the same thing happens this time. Otherwise probably some time in July

Re: Semester I 2007 - Chatter Thread!

Because I have to do IBUS2102 for my major. I won't really have a chance to take it next year without overcomplicating things. I'll have to take new product marketing instead, but then again, this is poo, as it doesn't give me my ideal timetable (Mon, Wed, Thur), but gives me the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday timetable, which can be tough cum assessment time.

EDIT: can't do IBUS2102 as MKTG3112 lectures are on at the same time.

Re: Semester I 2007 - Chatter Thread!

Hmm. If I can get the timetable system to give me the tutes I want I could get myself a pretty sweet timetable. Only if I switch into HSTY1088 I'll have to come in on Thursdays :(, and if I switch into HSTY1044 it'll clash with archaeology. How sucky.

(Hey, this is great procrastination material.)

Re: Semester I 2007 - Chatter Thread!

Students removed in uni fee protest
Five student protesters have been removed by security after 30 of them tried to disrupt a meeting of the University of Sydney senate.

The senate will vote tonight on whether to increase HECS fees for commerce and economics students, after legislation allowing the rises was passed in Parliament on Friday.

A group of more than 30 students tried to block senators from entering the meeting and five of them were removed by security after they attempted a sit-in.
I'm sure that the Senate will relent now that the SRC have made their views clear like that. What group of decision-makers doesn't like to be publicly seen to have been cowed by loudmouthed protesters?

I just got back my third substandard mark for an assessment (out of four assessments, that's a remarkable trend).

Fuck uni and fuck getting back a bad mark just before you take the exam for the subject.

I don't know why I bother, I may as well drop out for all the good uni is doing me at the moment.
Dont worry, we all have those moments. Just keep soldiering on, and read my signature :)

Im sure you can kill your remaining subjects, if my memory serves me correctly you did quite well last sem anyway.
