i cant comprehend the idea of someone considering majoring in ecmt

ecof sounds relatively interesting and very useful. Essays about porn, marijuana ... discussions etc

ergh...not my kinda thing at all. journal, tute paper, seminar paper, 2 essays, class participation. Ewww.

i think i'm doing ok. Came equal 10th in the mid semster exam with a few other people (out of approx 1000).

Does ACCT1001 or ECON1002 count participation as marks? I absolutely hated ARIN1000 because of that reason, meant i couldnt skip any tutes.

for ACCT1001, 10% of final mark consist of 3 marks for attendance in tutes and 7 marks for participation. But our tutor just basically said that if we've attended every single tute he'd give us the full 10 marks.

uh oh. Econ1002 counts participation marks? i havent checked on that because i assumed econ1001 didnt have participation mks (tutes werent even compulsory!) so econ1002 wouldnt...bad logic.
even if it did, i dont think i would mind it that much cos it looks interesting. having to participate in tute discussions for subjects you HATE is hell

so u must have gotten s th in mid sem...
therefore u dun need to get 100% in final to pass... wut's the minimum u need to get?!

Do you need to pass your final exam to pass a course? This is specifically for physics. What happens if I don't pass yet manage to get an overall mark above 50?

yeah in ecop i think you need 75% in the final exam to get an HD (or something of that nature)
Luckily this isn't the case for Work1001, whereby I only need to score 77.25% to get an HD. (based on my previous results). Or i could go to the exam, attempt one question and just pass. I love you IR!
