matt groening of course being the man behind the simpsons and futurama
seth macfarlane being behind family guy and american dad
this issue is dividing my school, so i want to see what the general consensus is

it's a no brainer

i dont like futurama, or american dad, so my main toss up was between simpsons and family guy. and i like family guy more than the simpsons, so my vote went to macfarlane

i think the simpsons is funnier as it is easier to relate to. Whilst i love stewie and brian in family guy, i dont like the rest. The simpsons is the original and the best. Especially homer.

Plus futurama is funny and i have never laughed at american dad.

The simpsons use to be good but now its sucks soooooo bad, its become practically relient on Homer for jokes and as south park says "Simpsons did it", they've done everything. Meanwhile Family guy jokes are more mature and thus more funny.

South Park beats all of them

Typical Family Guy joke: doing something (laughing, saying owwwww) for five minutes until the humour is meant to somehow sink in. It's not funny.

family guy - great stuff but i got sick of this show years ago, new ones are ok

i cant really see one winning over the other. if the new simpsons episodes were actually funny i guess groening would win.

groening, the simpsons may be shit now, the early episodes were the best ones. family guy is still funny show, but simpsons edge in front.

family guy is more derivative, dumber and without any cultural importance or longevity
the simpsons is glorious at its best

and south park is just plain trite
they lost their edge a long time ago

i think the simpsons golden age is about seasons 3-7 or so
and why is everyone saying american dad's crap?
its actually gotten quite the gold lately
since stan became funnier
but probably not as good as family guy
